The inception of the department of Commerce can be traced back to the academic year 1995-96 with the general degree programme (B.Com General) and subsequent introduction of the Honours course (B.Com Honours) in the academic year 2000-2001. The department has one full time faculty against two sanctioned vacancies as per UGC norms and 3 State Aided College Teachers at present.
