Department of Chemistry:

The Department of Chemistry was established in 2012 on Tarakeswar Degree College's lovely green campus in Hooghly. Our department is housed among other natural science and arts departments, as well as a number of cutting-edge shared facilities, offering a rich environment for our students and faculty members. With numerous career possibilities, there has never been a better time to study Chemistry at Tarakeswar Degree College. The Department can choose its own calendar and offer tests and tutorial classes, among other things. At the Bachelor's level, the department offers both honours and general programmes (B.Sc. Major in Chemistry as per NEP-2020 as embraced by the University of Burdwan). The Chemistry Department is committed to fostering a positive work environment. We aspire to establish a welcoming, comprehensive, and unbiased environment in which our teachers, staff, and students can thrive as they push the boundaries of chemistry via research, innovation, collaboration, and scholarship.
